RFID Smart Inventory Rack — Open Shelf System
The RFID Smart Inventory Rack is an enterprise-grade, open-shelf storage system with UHF RFID technology built directly into the rack structure. It automatically identifies, tracks, and records every item placed on or removed from the rack — with no manual scanning required.
How It Works
Every product, tool, box, or asset stored on the rack is fitted with a unique RFID tag. UHF RFID antennas, integrated behind the side panels, back panel, or shelf zones, continuously scan the storage area and detect these tags automatically. The antennas connect to a concealed UHF RFID reader, which transmits data via Ethernet or Wi-Fi to a local server or cloud platform.

- Item placed on rack → system detects tag → recorded as Available
- Item removed from rack → system detects absence → inventory updated automatically

RFID Engineering & RF Shielding
A critical part of the manufacturing process is RFID antenna positioning and tuning. Each rack is engineered so that its antennas read only the items within its designated storage zone — preventing cross-reads from neighbouring racks. RF shielding or RF-absorbing materials are incorporated where required.
